week of Aug. 15 it is. i’m trying to plan places to go/sites to see/things to do. so far, the ideas include the following: Shorts Brewing Co., Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Blackrocks Brewery (Marquette), Copper Peak, Lake of the Clouds, canoeing Keweenaw Water Trail, and visiting any other desired waterfalls and breweries along the way.
FRIENDS:
i’m tossin’ around the idea of a camping/backpacking trip up north… up up north, the week of AUGUST 15 or the week of AUGUST 22. anyone else interested? suggestions? any thoughts/opinions are welcome, kind of. think about it, guys! it’d be so fun!
The Two Hearted river of Hemingway fame is up there and it has one of those camp grounds where you just put ten dollars in a small box and pitch your tent. People were taking boats down the river the last time I was there, though I am not sure where they got the boats, and the river mouth opens into the lake and a beach.
